DIY Hyper Masculine Archetype

DIY Hyper Masculine Archetype is a tragic five act transformation from boy to werewolf. This boy gathers cheap items from a joke shop - glue, fake blood, a pair of scissors - and attempts to metamorphose via body modification and learned gestures. As the music whines from radio electronica to Puccini epic, and the werewolf goes to increasingly ridiculous lengths to actualise his transformation, the space fills with a nocturnal howl of pain.

A visceral performance provocation exposing the impossibility of the male archetype, the split navigated by men and boys, and the violent indoctrination of constructed masculinity.
